modifier 98940 with 97140
I am new to chiro billing. I am trying to bill 98940 with mod AT and I have my NP doing the 97140 with mod GP . medicare is still denying help

If the billing being done under the chiropractors NPI Medicare won't cover it. So as Sharon said more info would be helpful.

Medicare only covers 98940, 98941 or 98942 for chiros. So they will always deny any other codes billed.

First make certain the specific diagnosis (region) you are billing 98940 is not the same region as the 97140 on the same day.Any procedure billed other than 9894* should have a GY modifier...
